Hey there, Jennifer!
Welcome to planDisney and congratulations on your recent move. Being a bit closer to the magic is definitely worth celebrating. And a trip to Walt Disney World Resort in a couple of short weeks sounds like the perfect way to mark the occasion!
You have a few options when it comes to proving Florida residency for theme park tickets. In addition to a Florida driver's license, you can also use a Florida state-issued ID card or a Florida-based military ID. If you've been busy unpacking and haven't had time to secure a state-issued ID just yet, there are
some alternative ways to prove residency. You can use any of the following documents:
- A current mortgage statement
- Current homeowners' insurance policy or bill
- Current auto registration, insurance policy, or bill
- Current utility bill
- Mail from a financial institution
- Mail from a government agency
The above must be dated within the past two months, have your name listed on the document, and be addressed to your new Florida address. You will also have to show your current picture ID.
Once you have one of the above documents, you can
purchase tickets and
even prove your residency online. This can be a real time saver if you are trying to make rope drop. Before purchasing tickets, be sure to check out all the
special offers available just for Florida residents, a great perk that comes with your new address.
We'll see ya real soon!
