Hey there, hi there, ho there, Kimberley.
You’re as welcome as can be here at planDisney! I’m so glad you stopped by to chat about your summer Walt Disney World Resort holiday and would be more than happy to help.
Disability Access Service (DAS) is a service for Guests who have difficulty tolerating the extended wait times in standby queues due to a disability. Guests outside of the United States can visit with a Cast Member at any of the theme park
Guest Relations locations to see if they qualify for this service. Thus, when you and your partner arrive at the first theme park of your visit, get to the Guest Relations location as early as possible to see if they qualify. If they do, the Cast Member assisting you can then set up their initial DAS selections.
If your partner does not qualify for DAS,
Wheelchair Rentals are available at each of the theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs by the day or for the length of your stay, as are
Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs). Perhaps one of these would be a suitable option for their particular needs. Feel free to email Disability Services at disability.services@disneyparks.com with any specific questions you have ahead of time as well. They'll be able to provide more in-depth information with regards to your partner's situation.
Kimberley, I hope this information proves useful, but please stop by again should you need anything else. Enjoy making memories with your partner at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
Think happy thoughts,
Alyssa
