Hi my partner is currently seriving in the armed forces. He has lost his military ID but has sent off for a new one but unsure if it will be back in time. He has his expired military ID still and he has current payslips. Will this be ok?

Hi there, Sam, and welcome to planDisney!

Can you believe that your Disneyland Paris vacation is just a few days away?!? By now, you've likely begun packing - don't forget your mouse ears - and are putting those final pixie-dusted details on your visit. Be sure to check out this Guide to the Disney Halloween Festival on the Disney Parks Blog as you make your list of magical (and mischievous) must-dos! Of course, you'll need to have your theme park admission sorted before exploring all that the Disney Halloween Festival has to offer, so let's talk tickets!

Saving on the booking of a Disney vacation is one of my very favorite kinds of magic. I mean, what's not to love about having more room in the budget for snacks, magical extras, and souvenirs?! As you mentioned, Disneyland Paris is currently offering discounted admission for active and retired military personnel who served in the United Kingdom, United States, and France. While you can purchase these tickets online, they will require the presentation of a valid government-issued military identification card for validation upon first use. Since you're unsure if you'll have access to one during your visit, I reached out to a Disneyland Paris representative for guidance with your specific circumstances. He helpfully shared that while the expired ID will not be accepted, in some instances, a recent payslip will be accepted as proof of service, but unfortunately, this is not guaranteed, as validation with an alternate document is ultimately granted at individual Cast Member discretion.

Personally, I would suggest that your partner bring his most recent payslip and kindly explain the circumstances to the Cast Member who will be validating your tickets. If possible, I would also have additional documentation that indicates your active military status or the pending request for a new ID.

I hope this helps, Sam, and that your upcoming visit is filled with magical moments that become cherished lifelong memories. If you'd like any additional suggestions, don't hesitate to come see us again at planDisney. You've got a friend in me!
