Hi Kimberly,
Welcome to planDisney. I'm excited you'll be visiting Walt Disney World Resort with your group of Mouseketeers in just a few short weeks. You have a few options to get your group ready for entry into the parks each day. Let's get started and see if we can find a solution.
First, you'll want to make sure that anyone who wants to maintain possession of their own ticket download the
My Disney Experience Mobile App in advance of your trip. Add them to your
Family & Friends list once they've created their profile and you'll be able to reassign each person's tickets to their own My Disney Experience Account. My buddy
Alyssa shares some helpful tips for adding someone to your Family and Friends list manually or through a linking code.
If you both have Apple devices you can also create a pass for them using
Disney MagicMobile Service and
send it via iMessage to be stored in their Apple Wallet for entry. Unfortunately, there is no way to send a MagicMobile pass to an Android user at this time, but your travel partner can download their own MagicMobile pass to their Google Wallet once they've created one from their My Disney Experience App. Once a MagicMobile pass is created and stored in the owner's phone they can use that for entry into the parks as well as access Virtual Queue or
Lightning Lane entrances.
If you'd rather not have your party download apps or simply want to manage plans for everyone you can also request an admission card for the appropriate party members at the ticket window outside the park entrance or at Guest Relations. You'll need to have your ticket confirmation email, a government issued-ID, and the credit card used to purchase the tickets available.
When I travel with my family, I manage my kid's tickets and Genie+ selections because they are both under the age of 13. They each have a MagicBand+ so their tickets are already linked to their bands. When it's time to enter the parks all they need to do is tap in at the designated entry point. The same is true for Lightning Lane entries. However, when I visited with a friend earlier this year she didn't have a MagicBand or MagicBand+ and had some trouble getting her MagicMobile pass to load when we arrived at the taps tiles. Since we were linked via Family & Friends for the reservation I was able to access her ticket barcode from my own My Disney Experience App.
This would be another option if you already have everyone's tickets listed under the "Tickets and Passes" section of your app. You'd just need to swipe through and scan the correct ticket for each person. Keep in mind that you would need to stay together if you are planning to use any Lightning Lane attraction entrances during the day using this option.
I hope this helps Kimberly. I know I hit you with a lot of information so please reach back out if you have additional questions. You can also
call a Cast Member if you need assistance with My Disney Experience or clarification on any of the steps mentioned above.
Wishing you magic and memories,
Amy
