Hi Tarryn!
Thanks for stopping by to be part of our world here at planDisney! When planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort, the attractions and entertainment inside the theme parks often take center stage, but I'm delighted you are also already aware that there is a lot to discover outside of the parks as well.
Tarryn, the
hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection feature a wide variety of recreational activities for Guests to enjoy. I chatted with a Cast Member who shared that, unfortunately, Mickey Tie-Dye is reserved for resort Guests. While this may not be the answer you were hoping for, I'd encourage you to check the
Enchanting Extras Collection which includes other activities open to all Guests regardless of whether or not you are staying at a particular resort. If you like arts and crafts activities, you may be particularly interested in the
Spanish Mosaic Art class or the
Colors of Coronado Painting Experience, both located at
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. Advanced reservations are available and highly recommended for both of these experiences.
Resort hotels are also home to some wonderful dining options. If your plans allow, I suggest stopping by
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge for breakfast at
Boma - Flavors of Africa. This is my new favorite breakfast spot after trying some unique flavors on the buffet, including the Avocado, Papaya, and Grapefruit Salad! When it's time for dinner, I recommend
Ale & Compass Restaurant at
Disney's Yacht Club Resort - a bit of a hidden gem if you ask me! The menu is full of delicious seafood options, but my favorite dish is the New England Seafood Pot Pie. When you pair this meal with a round of golf at the nearby
Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf, you have all the ingredients for a perfect evening.
Tarryn, I hope this gives you some ideas for even more fun outside of the parks. If you have any other vacation planning questions, please stop by planDisney again!
See ya real soon!
