Can you participate in morning extra magic hours the morning you would check in? For example, if your check in is at 3pm on Sunday, but arrive early in the morning Sunday and want to go to extra magic hours at 7am, would you be allowed in? Thank you!

    Hi Laurena,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

I’m happy to say that, yes, you should absolutely take advantage of Extra Magic Hours the day that you check in to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel. There are a few things you can do, however, to make your visit go smoothly. First, you’ll need to have your family’s MagicBands to get into the Theme Park that you’d like to visit, so make you have them handy (and not, say, in your checked luggage that is scheduled to be delivered via Disney’s Magical Express).

Second, I’d recommend going to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel to make sure that your reservation is in order and that all of your reservation entitlements are properly linked to your My Disney Experience account. The Cast Members working during Extra Magic Hours will be scanning your MagicBands to make sure that you’re allowed to be in the Parks at that time (and, if you have a car, that you’re entitled to complimentary standard self-parking that day).

I hope my answer helps you enjoy every second of your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,
