    I would like to participate in the 2026 marathons in WDW. When would the registration date?

    Hi there, Michael, and welcome to planDisney!

    There’s something so special about taking on those magical miles across Walt Disney World Resort. While I haven’t experienced the runDisney Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, I’ve participated in the other East coast races. I, too, hope to add the 2026 marathon to my list. 

    At the moment, there hasn’t been any news about the 2026 runDisney events. However, we can take a look at the past to get an idea about the future. The 2023-2024 race season was announced in January 2023 and the 2024-2025 season was announced in November 2023. So, I’m wishing on a star that we get an announcement for 2026’s lineup very soon.

    By the way, the registration dates for the 2025 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend was in April 2024. Be on the lookout for a registration date for a future race around the same time of year. 

    AN EXTRA GEM: My go-to source for all-things-Disney news is the Disney Parks Blog. This, along with the official runDisney website, will be the first place that the 2026 announcement will appear. In the meantime, check out the planDisney Podcast’s runDisney episode. The panelists share their tips and tricks about how to make the most of your runDisney experience.
