    Can we participate in activities offered at Animal Kingdom Lodge if we are not staying at that resort? We are also curious if we can participate in the bead activities if we have no children with us. Thanks!

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Beverly! 

    My family had the opportunity to stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge last summer and we all fell in love with the resort. I couldn’t believe we were still in Florida. The theming of this resort transports you to the African savannah where you can witness wildlife right before your eyes. You feel immersed in the culture thanks to Cultural Representative Cast Members that are there to share their knowledge of their home and how it is represented at the resort. It truly is an experience like no other.

    One of the ways you get to feel immersed in this cultural and educational experience is with the friendship beads activity, free to any guests visiting the resort. You don’t have to be staying there to enjoy this activity. During our stay, I also witnessed adults without children participate. The activities are geared more towards kids, but kids of all ages are definitely welcome to participate. 

    I hope you get to enjoy the amazing sights during your visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Be sure to try one of their amazing restaurants during your visit. Boma has become a favorite of mine!
