We got a partial refund on our annual passes due to the parks closing because of covid 19. Now we would like to get annual passes again. How can we get them?

    Hi, Carla! Welcome to planDisney!

Living here in the Sunshine State and not being able to visit Walt Disney World last year was rough, wasn't it? I know lots of us were faced with the difficult decision of whether or not to keep our Annual Passes in light of everything that was happening at the time. But as the song says, "there's a great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day"!

While sales of new Annual Passes are still paused for now, existing Annual Passholders have been able to renew during this time. Also, I know that Disney has been reviewing individual Passholders' accounts upon request to see if they're eligible to re-purchase Annual Passes. Since you elected to take the partial refund last year, I'd get in touch with the V.I.PASSHOLDER support line and ask them to take a look at your situation. I'm not sure what criteria they're using to determine eligibility, but I'm crossing my fingers that you'll have shiny new Annual Passes before you know it!

Carla, it's going to be a magical year at the Walt Disney World Resort! Disney has announced plans for brand new Halloween and Christmas events (with Annual Passholder discounts available), new fireworks shows are on the way, and The World's Most Magical Celebration gets underway on October 1 for Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary. And of course, the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is happening right now! I truly hope you'll be able to experience every minute of the fun!

Thank you so much for stopping by to see us, Carla. Please come back again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
