Hey there, hi there Michael! You're always welcome as can be at planDisney, and I'd be happy to assist a fellow Mouseketeer today.
Hot dog! Being one of Mickey Mouse's closest neighbors in the Sunshine State sure does have its advantages. My parents recently purchased a property in Florida and are also part-time residents. They have enjoyed several
resort stays and theme park visits using their new status to redeem special offers. Neither of them has a state-issued identification, but it's no problem for them to access Florida resident discounts.
Check out this information about verifying residency.
Your wife will certainly qualify for discounts, but she will need to provide proof of the same residential address in Florida. On our last trip, when activating their theme park tickets, my parents brought a bank statement mailed to their Florida address that included both of their names. We were told that electronic bills shown on a smartphone screen or tablet devices are also accepted. A current homeowner's insurance policy, automobile registration, insurance policy, or utility bill with your wife's name can also be presented to verify her residency.
I hope this is helpful, Michael! Living in Florida really has its perks when it comes to visiting the Walt Disney World theme parks. Be sure to monitor the
Florida Resident Specials page for new offers that come up throughout the year. Thanks for stopping by planDisney, and if there's ever anything we can do to help make future visits even more magical, don't hesitate to send more questions our way. We're all EARS!
