Hi there, Bridget!
Welcome to planDisney, and a big thank you for stopping by with your vacation planning question! It looks like you're planning a visit to
Walt Disney World Resort in just a few months, and I'm happy to help make your split stay as seamless as possible. I love enjoying a split stay between two
Disney Resort hotels - it allows you to experience two completely different themes and locations during the same trip!
Bridget, you'll be happy to learn that I just spoke with the Front Desk at the
Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel and confirmed that Bell Services will handle your luggage transfer when you move to your second Disney Resort hotel! The individual that I spoke with mentioned that luggage transfers will only be accommodated during daytime hours, so please be sure to plan accordingly - I wouldn't want your carriage turning into a pumpkin!
Next, let's discuss your
theme park tickets. I'm glad to share that you are welcome to purchase an 8-Day Ticket to cover the length of your vacation, instead of purchasing two shorter ticket options. Bridget, in order to do this, you're going to book your vacation as a
"room-only" Disney Resort hotel reservation and purchase theme park tickets separately, instead of purchasing a Vacation Package. Booking this way will provide you with the best value and flexibility. When you're ready to purchase your theme park tickets, you'll select the first day of your ticket. Your 8-day ticket will give you a 12-day window to use each of your eight theme park admissions - that sounds like an incredibly magical vacation to me! Also, I encourage you to check out the
current special offer valid for "room-only" Disney Resort hotel reservations for this spring and summer to see if it can be applied to the second part of your split stay.
Bridget, I hope this information is helpful as you continue to plan your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth! As a fellow Midwesterner, I've enjoyed dreaming about your sunshine-filled Walt Disney World Resort vacation with you. If you have any follow-up questions about your upcoming visit, please feel free to
reach out to me directly. I want to make sure your split stay is as easy as bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!
Warm wishes,
Lauren
