For part of our next trip, I will have my children, ages 5 and 8 by myself. Will the three of us be able to sit together on all of the rides?

    Hi Kelly!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question - I'm happy to help!

Walt Disney World Resort was built with families in mind, and there are lots of rides and attractions that allow parties of three to sit together as you enjoy the experience. Some, but not all, of these attractions include:
    • Magic Kingdom: "it's a small world", Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Mad Tea Party, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan's Flight, Pirates of the Caribbean, Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid
    • Epcot: Living With the Land, Soarin', Mission: SPACE, The Seas with Nemo and Friends, Spacship Earth, Test Track
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios: Muppet*Vision 3D, Star Tours - The Adventure Continues, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom: Avatar Flight of Passage, DINOSAUR, It's Tough to be a Bug, Kali River Rapids, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Na'vi River Journey, Primeval Whirl
I visit the parks often with my two girls, who are the same age difference as your children. On the rides that have seats built for only two guests to sit next to each other (Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, for example), I simply tell the Cast Member that we have a party of three. I am then seated in the same ride vehicle as my children, in the seat right behind them.

I hope this helps with your planning. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
