Is there a way to make it so part of our group uses their lightning lane on one ride and a part on another attraction at the same time? For example, my husband wants to ride the rapids and I want to take kids to Nemo show at the same time. Thank you

    Hey there, hi there, Kaitlyn!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney where you're as welcome as can be. I'd be delighted to assist a fellow Mouseketeer today! I'm actually in Walt Disney World right now, and my family has been splitting up for Lightning Lane experiences all week. Let's talk about how to make it happen.

My husband is prone to motion sickness and loves live entertainment; my son can't get enough thrill rides, and my daughter likes meeting princesses as much as she enjoys riding roller coasters. We have a variety of interests in our family! Because our visit this week has been brief, we purchased Lightning Lane Multi Pass to make the most of our time each day. When choosing Lightning Lane experiences, you select the attraction first, then party members. You can assign any eligible party members to each experience. Confirm an attraction for your husband, then choose a different experience from the home screen or Tip Board for you and your children.

Today, after redeeming our initial selections at Magic Kingdom Park as a family, we headed to Disney's Hollywood Studios. It was simple to reserve a ride on Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith for my son and me and a daddy-daughter spin on Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. When we go our separate ways, I look for Lightning Lane entries with overlapping return windows, and we decide on a meeting spot in case of a lapse in cell phone service.

I hope this is helpful and that you have an incredible adventure with your family next week! As I'm sure you are aware as a Floridian, it's pretty warm here in Orlando, so I recommend reviewing this Disney Parks Blog article featuring tips from my fellow panelists about staying cool during Olaf's favorite season. One thing that should be mentioned in the post is a UV-blocking umbrella. I brought one on this vacation, and it's been a lifesaver. It's a handy mouseketool that provides both sun and rain protection. Just be mindful when walking through crowds!

Thanks again for sending your question to planDisney, Kaitlyn. Please let us know if there's anything else we can do to make this or future visits even more magical. We're all ears!

    See ya real soon,
    Betsy
