Hello. We are part of DVC and are using the Membership Magic to purchase our tickets. However, the tickets for Disneyland do not include the photo pass. We will be there for 3 days. I am wondering what the cost of adding the photo pass to our tickets be

    Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney! I’m so happy to help you use your DVC membership to purchase your park tickets. As a fellow DVC member, I love using the membership perks to make the most of both my vacation and my budget.

Getting a Disney PhotoPass is a great way to capture the memories of your visit. My sister and I once took over 1,000 photos on a weeklong trip! So, if you’re a photo queen like me, I have a couple of tips to help you capture every magical moment.

Option 1: If you’re considering purchasing a Lightning Lane Multi Pass for your trip, it comes with unlimited downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos for the day. This might give you some bang for your buck! Lightning Lane Multi Pass prices fluctuate and are subject to change, but it could be a good value since it includes shorter wait times on rides and access to all your photos from the day.

Option 2: You could purchase “Disney PhotoPass+ One Week.” This package allows you to download a full week’s worth of photos for one price. Currently, the price is listed at $78 (subject to change). While your trip is only three days, this might be a good alternative if you’re not interested in getting the Lightning Lane Multi Pass.

Option 3: There are other PhotoPass options that allow you to purchase photos individually or for a single day. The prices for these options aren’t listed online, so I recommend visiting the PhotoPass Concierge located at the Newsstand right outside the Disneyland gates.

If you’re looking to get the royal treatment, Disney PhotoPass used to offer “Photo Excursions.” These allow guests to enjoy a 10- to 15-minute photo shoot with a Disney PhotoPass photographer in one of the four lands. This is a first-come, first-served experience, so be sure to head to the Adventureland bridge at 12:00 p.m. Please note that the location and times are subject to change—check the Disneyland app and search for “Photo Excursions” to find the most up-to-date information.

I hope this helps with your planning, Jennifer! If you have any more questions or would like extra Disney tips for your next trip, feel free to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always happy to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your plans.

    Best of luck!
