how can i be a part of the 50th anniversary fun in disney world what do i do

    Hello Jason,

My first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort was in 1975, just a few years after "The Vacation Kingdom of the World" opened.  I still have cherished keepsakes and precious memories from my first visit, and my collection of keepsakes and memories has grown with all my visits to the Walt Disney World Resort over all the years since.

Like many Guests, and like you, Jason, I'm so very much looking forward to joining in the upcoming celebration of the Walt Disney World Resort's 50th anniversary. This will be some celebration, indeed. I'd say you can think of it as "The World’s Most Magical Celebration!"

In fact, the celebration is such a magical milestone event that I hear it's earned its own word to describe the anniversary style and vibe -- “EARidescence.” I can't wait to see all that sparkles and shimmers throughout the celebration.

I think the best way to be a part of the 50th anniversary celebration is, well, to plan to be there! And I think the best way to know what to look forward to when you plan to be there is to follow the Disney Parks Blog

We'll all be seeing more news and more announcements on the Disney Parks Blog as the Walt Disney World Resort shares more plans and more details for the celebration festivities. I know I'm eagerly waiting to learn more about all the magic that awaits in the celebration event. So be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog, and be sure to follow us planDisney panelists on social media as we share info and tips for visiting the Walt Disney World Resort.

When Roy O. Disney gave the dedication speech to mark the opening of Walt Disney World Resort, he said "May Walt Disney World bring joy and inspiration and new knowledge to all who come to this happy place… a Magic Kingdom where the young at heart of all ages can laugh and play and learn—together.”

Jason, I hope you get to enjoy all the laughter and playing and learning when you experience the 50th anniversary celebration, and when you make all your future visits to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
