Hi there, Melissa!
The parks really do work a little holiday magic almost overnight! In the past, as soon as the last
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party wraps up on October 31, the elves at Disney get straight to work.
By the very next morning, November 1, you’ll already see garlands, wreaths, and bows adorning Main Street, U.S.A. in
Magic Kingdom. The huge Christmas tree in Town Square usually goes up within the first week of November, and suddenly the whole park feels like you’ve stepped into a holiday card.
Magic Kingdom is one of the first to transform, because
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party kicks off in early November. The other parks follow quickly after. At
Hollywood Studios, you’ll see Gertie the Dinosaur decked out in her Santa hat and Echo Lake shining with floating ornaments.
EPCOT takes a little longer, since the
International Festival of the Holidays doesn’t begin until late November, but by Thanksgiving, all the parks are sparkling with holiday cheer. Even
Animal Kingdom gets festive with themed decorations that fit the natural, earthy vibe of the park.
So if you’re planning a trip in November or December, you’ll definitely get to see Disney in full Christmas glory. Between the twinkling lights, festive music, and even “snow” on Main Street, it truly feels like the most wonderful time of the year.
Have a magical time, Melissa! Remember that you can stop by here anytime for help planning your Disney vacation!
Toodles,
Korliss
