Hello there, Sharon!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney! Getting to where you need to go to make the most of your vacation is a nonnegotiable. And I am more than happy to tell you that your wish to rent a wheelchair or electric conveyance vehicle (ECV) at The Most Magical Place on Earth can absolutely come true.
You can rent both manual wheelchairs and ECVs on a daily basis at all four theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort. You can find these rental locations near the front entrance of each theme park (and near the back of
EPCOT at the International Gateway). They are rented out on a first-come, first-served basis, so you’ll want to rent one as soon as you can. Find more information about this service by heading over to the
Wheelchair Rentals webpage.
If you need a length-of-stay ECV rental, check out ScooterBug, which is a local, private scooter rental company that you’ll see mentioned on the Walt Disney World Resort website. I haven’t personally used them, but it is a nice option to be able to keep your vehicle with you for your entire stay.
AN EXTRA GEM: I also love that you can rent a wheelchair or ECV at
Disney Springs, which is one of my favorite spots on property to shop and dine. When my mom and I visit this fun spot, it’s a breeze to rent a wheelchair for her so that she can enjoy the day without any worries about mobility.
Sharon, I hope that you found this information helpful and that you feel better prepared to take on your upcoming vacation. If you have any other questions,
give us a holler here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
