We are going to the parks in orlando next week. We are all Florida residents. Can I take a copy of our Florida IDs and a copy of my son's birth certificate to get the tickets or that would be a problem?

    Hi Solange!

For the proof of Florida residency, a valid FL ID is required. The Disney website states that these are accepted: FL Driver's License, FL state issued ID card with FL address, FL voter's registration with corresponding picture ID, FL college ID card, or FL based military ID.

I called to be sure, and an original must be shown. However, for the children under 18 in your group, an ID won't be necessary for them as long as the adults they are with can provide their own FL ID.

When I've visited Walt Disney World, all the adults and young adults were indeed asked to show proof of residency. Using our driver's license was easy enough in our case. I have never brought any FL ID for the kids, and we haven't had a problem because they were entering with us and we showed our IDs.

Hope this helps, and have a fun and magical vacation!
