Hi Traci,
September is a great time of year to visit Walt Disney World! Since many children will just be heading back to school in September, the number of guests visiting Walt Disney World during this month tends to be lower. Throughout September, the
Epcot International Food and Wine Festival takes place at Epcot. I love this festival, with opportunities to sample foods from around the world, see culinary demonstrations, and much more! Many guests who live nearby to Walt Disney World do like to come to this festival, which can mean that weekends at Epcot can be busier. I recommend visiting Epcot on a weekday during this time.
I find
Extra Magic Hours to be a great perk. Guests staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel can experience a theme park for extra hours before and after the official closing time on certain days. If you are staying for Extra Magic Hours at night, especially as the time gets later, many guests will leave, and the theme parks have many fewer guests by the time Extra Magic Hours are done. Check the
Walt Disney World theme park hours calendar for dates for Extra Magic Hours.
Finally,
Mickeys Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a great event! My favorite part of this party is the Halloween-themed entertainment, including the Boo-to-You Parade. This party does require a separate ticket, so even if you were in Magic Kingdom during the day, you will need to leave the park once the party has started if you do not have a ticket for the party.
Please let us know if you have any further questions, Traci!
