Hi Russell! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
How exciting! Your
Walt Disney World vacation will be here before you know it! Spending six days in the theme parks gives you plenty of time to explore each one and even some extra days to revisit a few.
To answer your question, you can add the
Park Hopper Option to your tickets at any point leading up to your stay and even during your visit as well. However, if you do so, you will need to for the entire length of your tickets. You will not be able to pick and choose one or two days to add it for. Even if you add it on your last day, you will be charged as if you added it for all six. Your best bet will be to decide before your visit if you want to utilize this option and plan to visit multiple parks each day.
I've had trips where I did purchase the Park Hopper Option and used it to its full advantage. We would spend time at one park in the morning, take a break at our resort during the afternoon, and visit a different park in the evening. This is a great option if you are staying close to one of the parks, such as
Disney's Beach or Yacht Club Resorts. With the Park Hopper, you can simply walk into EPCOT each night regardless of which park you visited during the day.
I've also had plenty of trips where we only visited one park each day. These stays can be more relaxing since you do not have to plan to travel anywhere else. You can go about your day knowing that you are at that specific park for the day and do not have the pressure to be anywhere else at a certain time. It will depend on what your priorities and expectations are for your upcoming trip and which option makes more sense for you.
Russell, I hope this information helps you plan for your upcoming visit!
