Park hours do vary throughout the year, but summer typically brings the longest opening hours in my experience, as many Guests are on a school break. Last summer, I believe Disneyland Park was often open from 8:00 AM until midnight, while Disney California Adventure Park usually operated from 8:00 AM until 10:00 PM.
Hours may shift a bit this year, but they’re likely to be similar, and that’s wonderful news if you love warm summer evenings in the parks like I do! There is something extra magical about being in the parks when Sleeping Beauty Castle is lit up and twinkling lights appear throughout the parks. It is also a great time to enjoy the attractions, since many families head back to their hotels. As your July trip gets closer, you’ll be able to view

If you’re hoping to book table-service dining, be sure to start checking the
Disneyland website 60 days before your first park day. Reservations fill quickly, especially in summer. I like to plan one late lunch each day, which gives my family a chance to cool off, relax, and recharge before heading back out for more fun. Some of my favorite spots are
Cafe Orleans,
Lamplight Lounge, and
Blue Bayou Restaurant.
