How many parks can we hop to in a day We're starting our day in Epcot but I would like to hop over to Animal Kingdom after 2pm. Would we able to go back to Epcot for dinner reservations & fireworks or do we have to end our day in Animal Kingdom?

Hey there, Naomi! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Park hopping is my favorite way to spend a Disney day and I think you'll really enjoy it too.

Naomi, park hopping wise - you are able to visit one, two or even all four of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks in a single day if you would like. It's totally up to you. I've done all of it before and it's so much fun. However you would like to plan your day is totally up to you.

Right now, park hopping looks a little bit different than it did before. Here's how it is currently working:

    • Guests wishing to park hop must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option
    • Guests wishing to park hop must have a park pass reservation for the initial theme park they plan on visiting each day
    • On the day of, Guests wishing to park hop must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation first before continuing on to other theme parks later in the day
    • Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evening
    • To make park hopping a little bit more convenient at this time, complimentary park-to-park bus transportation is currently being provided
If I could make a suggestion, have you considered changing your park pass reservation around to start off the day at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park instead? I like to do Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park in the early hours of the day to get all of the best attractions in with little to no wait time, especially right now because Epcot opens later than the other theme parks. If you did this, you'd be able to enjoy all of the major attractions at Disney's Animal Kingdom before lunchtime. Then, right around 2:00 p.m., you could head over to Epcot for the rest of the day. It would just save you some back-and-forth time and I think you'd be able to enjoy Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park a little bit better. I've also found that the animals at the Kilimanjaro Safari attraction are much more active in the morning which can be really fun to see.

Whichever way you choose, I know you are going to have a great time park hopping, Naomi. If I can help you with anything else, please don't hesitate to stop back by and ask me

    Have fun and happy hopping!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
