Hiya, Monica!
Welcome to planDisney! I cannot think of a better place to ring in the New Year than The Most Magical Place on Earth. The
holidays at Walt Disney World Resort are truly an incredible time, and New Year's Eve is no exception. There are dazzling fireworks displays, DJ dance parties, and of course epic countdowns. The dazzling details are being finalized and the last magical touches are being added. So, be sure to keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as your trip gets closer. Traditionally, New Year's Eve details are revealed a little closer to the date (about a week out). So while I don't have all the magical details for the kickoff of 2023 just yet, I can give you a few tips and tricks based on current info to help you plan the best New Year's Eve ever!
Current theme park hours list Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT as being open until midnight or later. Fantasy in the Sky fireworks is scheduled at Magic Kingdom Park at 6:30 PM and again at 11:50 PM.
Pro tip: You can also catch this special nighttime spectacular on 12/30 (same showtimes)! This breathtaking show is a limited offering that only takes place during the New Year's holiday. Over at EPCOT,
Harmonious will light up the sky at 6:50 PM. Hollywood Studios will have two showings of
Fantasmic! ( 8 PM and 9:30 PM) and
Wonderful World of Animation will take place at 9 PM. Disney's Animal Kingdom does not have a nighttime spectacular scheduled at this time. There will also be special offerings throughout all four parks on this date. While official details are still on the way, past offerings have included special dance parties at EPCOT and Magic Kingdom Park that are designed to be fun for everyone. There are also limited edition menus offered at dining locations in and out of the theme parks and special champagne and truffle packages at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
Disney Springs generally offers a variety of dining and entertainment packages.
Before you can celebrate the clock striking twelve at any of the theme parks, you will need a
Disney Park Pass reservation. All four theme parks require a reservation in addition to a valid theme park ticket. If you have not crossed this important step off of your magical to-do list, I recommend doing so as soon as possible. Some dates
may offer limited availability due to popularity, particularly during the holidays. Currently, the only park that still has availability for December 31st is Animal Kingdom Park. Should you wish to visit another location and you don't have a reservation yet, you could add the
Park Hopper option to your ticket. But it is important to note that Park Hopping may be temporally paused if theme parks reach capacity.
I hope your New Year's Eve is memorable and magical! We'll see ya real soon!
