Hi, Amber! Thank you for stopping by the
Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! It's great to hear you are planning your vacation at the
Walt Disney World Resort! Now more than ever is a great time to visit!
Inside the theme parks,
water parks and
Disney Springs, you may go to the First Aid station and use their restrooms or private areas to change/feed your child or just to relax a bit, away from all the excitement. Simply walk up to the location and, if asked, explain your child's condition and you should be allowed to use the facilities without a problem.
I imagine you must also be concerned about wait times for your daughter. Disney has created a
Disability Access Service (DAS) Card, a tool designed to accommodate guests who aren’t able to wait in a conventional queue environment due to a disability or medical condition. This benefit offers guests a return time for attractions based on the current wait time. If your child qualifies for this service, as I am pretty sure she will, everyone in her party will be eligible to receive a return time for another attraction once you are all done with the first attraction, and so on. The best thing is that this service can be used in conjunction with
FastPass+.
Amber, the first thing you need to do is go to the Guest Relations Office at one of the main four theme parks ,
Magic Kingdom Park,
Epcot,
Disney's Hollywood Studios, and
Disney's Animal Kingdom. Once inside, request to speak to a Cast Member for them to determine eligibility for this program. They will ask you to describe your child's condition, maybe bringing a note from her doctor would be useful when explaining her condition. If she qualifies for this program, the benefit will be issued and once all of your
MagicBands have been associated, you may all begin to use it.
Amber, I hope this information is useful. I am sure your daughter will be just fine and your vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort will be one to remember!
See ya real soon!
