    when are the parks decorated for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas

    Hi Kristin,

    Holidays at Walt Disney World are the most fun times of the year!  Of course, along with all of the fun, the decorations are INCREDIBLE, and I think you're obviously a great planner because this is a seriously good question:)

    Halloween decorations go up right before the first Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.  This year the first party of the season is on September 2.  Typically, the Halloween decorations come down right after the last scheduled Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party; literally - right after!  It's done overnight and the Christmas decorations are up right before Magic Kingdom's first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party of the season.  Here are some really fun videos on the holidays at Disney World; how they prepare and how they set up.    I hope you enjoy them.
