    when are the parks decorated for christmas

    Hi Ronald!

    The Christmas holiday time is my favorite time for a visit to Walt Disney World. I love the decorations in the resorts and parks and the festive atmosphere everywhere.

    Christmas arrives early for Disney and it begins with the Magic Kingdom. The park will be decked out with all it’s finery by the start of the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The first date of the party is November 9. Soon after that all the resorts will begin their decorating and most will be completed by Thanksgiving week. The parks will also slowly transform to include trees and other decor and the final push for the holiday happens in Epcot. The day after Thanksgiving the wonderful Candlelight Processional begins with the amazing holiday Illuminations following each evening.

    If you can book a quick trip to see the parks and resorts for the holidays then I suggest you wait and come after Thanksgiving and before the big crowds during Christmas week. You will be guaranteed that everything is up and sparkling with plenty of pixie dust and magic!
