We will be at the parks for 5 days (Oct22-26). It will be my mothers (47) and my sons (just turned 1) first time going. How can I make a great trip for both?

Hi Marlana I will also be there during your stay and maybe I will run into you at one of the parks to see how your trip is going!

The important thing to make a Disney trip as magical as possible is to not stress out thinking you have to do it all!  Pick and choose what attractions seem to be ones that you all want to enjoy.  Since you have a little guy you can use the rider swap on things like the roller coasters.  For the other attractions he can easily be carried as long as you don't feel he will be frightened by sounds and noises.  Read through the list for each park by clicking HERE.

I like to plan on hitting each of the four theme parks for one day.  Select some dining for each park if possible so you are not having to leave and come back as that wastes time.  Check out the park hours and the entertainment schedules so you don't miss the parades.  You can see this by going to a park calendar and then clicking on each date.....the list will be shown.  Please click HERE to see example.  Schedule some down time for naps and rests....the entire family will last longer when they aren't tired.

You might want to consider calling the Disney florist or checking with them on line for delivery of something special for your mother and son in the room.  They have many great ideas for all budgets and it would be a welcome surprise!  Please also check out the seven pages of ways to celebrate anything while at Disney....something might interest you from that list to surprise your two special people!  Please click HERE to see the lists!
