Which parks would be best for a 2 year old? We have two park days and currently planning on Magic Kingdom one day but not sure about the other. Would you do 2 Magic Kingdom days or either Animal Kingdom or Epcot, or even Hollywood Studios, the other?

    Hi Leah!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It looks like your vacation is right around the corner. I hope that you are getting excited about your stay!

Traveling with a Little One is so much fun. In my opinion, there is nothing better than seeing Disney through the eyes of a child. With so many fun attractions and entertainment options, kids of all ages have plenty to explore.

When I travel with my Little One’s, our favorite Theme Parks are Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. In my opinion, Magic Kingdom Park is what you envision when you think of traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort. Walking down Main Street, U.S.A., and seeing Cinderella Castle in the distance may bring a tear to your eye. Attractions such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant, “it’s a small world,” and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh are perfect for little kids.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park is my children’s second favorite park. If your child is anything like mine, they love animals! We love to walk through the Maharajah Jungle Trek and Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail. Kilimanjaro Safaris is a treat. Here you can see animals such as giraffe, elephants, and zebra in their natural habitat. Attractions such as Na’vi River Journey are so vibrant and full of life. The kids also enjoy Festival of the Lion King. The costumes and music have them smiling and dancing.

While you are at any of the Theme Parks, make sure to take advantage of the Baby Care Centers, which are open during regular park hours. These centers offer a Changing room with tables and a women’s restroom, a feeding area with high chairs, and a kitchen with a microwave and sink, among other things. It is a great place to take a break and cool off.

Wishing you and your family a magical time!
