Do the parking lots have shuttles to the main gates of Disneyland? Is there a cost to the shuttle? Do you have to park in the lot to use the shuttle?

Hiya, Norma, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m excited to help you plan your upcoming Disneyland Resort getaway!

Yes, I’m happy to report that the official parking locations for the Disneyland Resort theme parks offer complimentary transportation to and from the parks! When it comes to parking, you have several options, depending on which direction you’re traveling from. The Toy Story Parking Area, which is accessible from South Harbor Boulevard and West Katella Avenue, is a large lot offering bus service to The Esplanade, which is the area between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. You’ll be dropped off just before the Security Checkpoint on South Harbor Boulevard. Just keep in mind that strollers need to be folded before boarding any Disneyland Resort transportation (excluding transportation offered for Guests with disabilities).

I personally enjoy parking in the Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals Parking Structures, which are accessible from Disneyland Drive, Magic Way, and West Ball Road. I love having the option of taking the tram service to The Esplanade, or using the new walkway that connects the Pixar Pals Structure to Downtown Disney District. You can access this walkway from Level 2 of the structure. From there, you can pass through Security, and choose to walk through Downtown Disney District, or board the Disneyland Monorail (if you have already purchased your Disneyland Park Ticket) to head straight into Disneyland Park.

As a Guest of the Disneyland Resort, you’re more than welcome to use these bus and tram services even if you’re not parked in either of these lots or structures. Just keep in mind that you will still need to pass through Security Checkpoints at some point during the entry process.

Before you head to the parks, I highly recommend downloading the Disneyland app! It’s my favorite handy helper to use inside both theme parks. My family enjoys using it to check attraction wait times, make dining reservations, find our favorite Characters, mobile order food and drinks, and utilize Disney MaxPass and Disney PhotoPass!

Please stop by with any additional questions you may have… I’m all EARs!
