Hey there, Philip, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by the panel with your question. It may seem like it’s far away, but your Walt Disney World arrival date will be here before you know it. Now is the perfect time to button up all of your Disney Vacation planning. Love the name by the way! It feels familiar…
Philip, the fantastic news is that Parking Lot Trams are back at two of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks:
Magic Kingdom Park and
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Unfortunately, a Disney Cast Member confirmed that the EPCOT Parking Tram return date is still unknown. But with the
International Food & Wine Festival invading EPCOT until November 19, 2022, you have to spend some time eating around the world! It’s my favorite part of every Disney Vacation! Since you still have a little time until your arrival date, Disney may announce the return of EPCOT’s parking lot trams just in time for your visit! So I suggest keeping your eye’s peeled for upcoming Disney news. Walt Disney World has previously stated that trams will return to all Theme Parks before the end of 2022, so your special pixie dust announcement may be right around the corner.
If the trams do not return before your visit, I believe there are still options available for you to experience EPCOT on your visit. Each
Theme Park Parking Lot has accessible parking available that will put you much closer to the park entrance than the standard parking spaces. Just let the Cast Member at the Auto Plaza know that you will need accessible parking, and they will point you in the right direction. A valid disability parking permit is required. Additionally, if you are planning to stay in a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel as part of your visit you can let
Disney Transportation do the driving! Each Disney Bus is accessible and will typically drop off Guests closer to the park entrance than the parking lots. And if you are staying in a Skyliner Resort, you will pretty much disembark right at the back entrance gate for EPCOT! The Skyliner drop-off location is really ideal if you prefer the shortest walk.
I hope this helps, Philip! If you have more questions while planning your Disney Vacation,
stop back by and let me know!
You’ve got a friend in me,
