Hi there, Donna. Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for dropping by with your question.
Donna, I was just at
Walt Disney World a few days ago so I have some up-to-date information to share with you about the trams. I noticed that not all four of the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks were running trams while I was there. We were able to take a tram from the parking lot of Magic Kingdom Park up to the front of the Transportation and Ticket Center and back again to our car area when we were going back to the hotel in the evening. I did notice that trams were also running at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park although we had gotten there so early that morning our car was in the first row so we didn't need it. Other than that, we did have to walk to our parking spots at both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. I have heard that all trams should be up and running by the end of this year.
If you have mobility issues, Donna, when you park you can always ask a parking attendant Cast Member is you could park close to the end of a row. This doesn't seem to be a problem for most Cast Members to accommodate. We did this one year when my daughter had a broken foot and it was just a little bit less walking for her but at the end of the day it was much needed. Also, you can always upgrade to the
preferred parking spots. These are the first few rows of the parking lot and are within walking distance of the entrance.
I hope this helps, Donna. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have a magical day!
Jackie H.
