Parking handicap at Magic Kingdom with a truck pulling landscape trailer, are we allowed to park in handicap space or do we have to park in oversized parking? Will we be allowed to park with the trailer?

    Hi Melissa!

Thanks for bringing us another question. We're always glad to lend a helping hand. I'm happy to see your visit is just one week away. I have a trip planned around the same time and I've been excitedly counting down for the past few days. Let's get you ready for a magical visit!

As you may already know, Walt Disney World Resort is top-notch when it comes to providing service and accommodations for guests with mobility concerns or disabilities. While there are Disability Parking areas in each of the theme park lots, I'm not certain if there are vehicle size limitations for these spots. I reached out to a friendly Cast Member about parking your truck and attached trailer at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) when visiting Magic Kingdom Park. She let me know that there is a designated area for oversized vehicles which should be able to accommodate your truck and trailer, but unfortunately, she couldn't guarantee that you'll be able to park in one of the spots designated for guests with disabilities. She advised that you speak with a Cast Member at the Auto Plaza when you arrive and they will provide further instructions. Be sure you have your valid disability parking permit with you when you arrive.

If you're anything like me you probably want to plan ahead for a seamless experience, so I'd recommend reaching out to Guest Services at (407) 824-2222 for additional information. The Cast Member I spoke with asked whether your landscape trailer was fully enclosed so I'm not sure if that will have any effect on the final determination. You'll be able to answer any specific questions about your vehicle better than I can and will have the chance to make any necessary adjustments accordingly before you arrive on-site.

Once your vacation is underway be sure to spend some time exploring the holiday decor in the parks and resorts and don't miss out on the specialty holiday treats  The gingerbread house in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa should be open for business very soon, and I've seen pictures of the beautiful gingerbread displays springing to life at Disney's Contemporary Resort just this morning too! You are sure to be dazzled and delighted.

Melissa, if we can answer any additional questions please stop back and let us know.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
