Greetings, Sandra, and welcome to planDisney! For those of us driving to the Disneyland Resort, each magical day starts with finding the right spot to park that pumpkin carriage. There are a few great options to choose from.
Sandra, you can park at the Mickey & Friends or Pixar Pals Parking Structures, or at the Toy Story Parking Area.
Daily parking rates apply, but here’s some good news: once you've paid, hang on to your receipt. Upon re-entering the parking area that same day, show it to the Cast Member at the toll booth, and you won't need to pay again. For added convenience, you can even purchase a
parking voucher online in advance.
One of my tips for these parking areas is to use the
car locator feature in the
Disneyland mobile app. With it, you can note the level and row in which you are parked. There was one day when I didn't pay attention when I left my car, and I spent more time than I’d like to admit looking for it when it was time to go home. Lesson learned!
Whether you choose to park in the parking structures or the Toy Story Parking Area is a matter of preference. Most of the spaces at the parking structures are covered (except for the top level), and complimentary tram service is provided to the Main Entrance Esplanade. Alternatively, there is a walkway from Level 2 of the Pixar Pals Parking Structure to the end of the
Downtown Disney District near the Disneyland Hotel – that walk takes approximately 10 minutes. It's a good option for anyone who doesn't want to fold up their stroller (which is required on the tram). At the Toy Story Parking Area, spaces are not covered, and buses provide the connection to the park.
Sandra, I hope you have an amazing September visit to the Disneyland Resort.
Halloween Time will be underway, with spookily cute decorations, lots of pumpkins, spirited entertainment, and more. If you have any other questions between now and your next visit, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
