Welcome to planDisney, Michael!
I'm so glad that you decided to be our Guest. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
When I visited Walt Disney World with my family last summer, we decided to stay offsite and pay for parking. Although I much prefer staying at a
Disney Resort, this worked better for our budget and for the other plans we had in Florida.
When visiting a Disney theme park, you can
select either standard or preferred parking when you arrive at the parking lot entrance on the day of your visit. Preferred parking allows you to park closer to the theme park, but it costs a little more. In my experience, as long as you arrive early (45 minutes before the park opens) you'll be able to park pretty close anyway.
When it comes to the cost of parking, I should mention that pricing is subject to change. However, here are the current prices for parking:
Preferred parking: car or motorcycle – $45-$50 per day
Standard parking: car or motorcycle – $25 per day
Oversized Vehicle Parking: Shuttle, Limo, Camper Trailer, RV, Bus or Tractor Trailer - $30 per day
If you're staying at a Disney Resort, then you'll enjoy complimentary standard parking.
I should also mention that your parking pass is good for the entire day across each of the theme parks. Therefore, if you'd like to utilize the
Park Hopper Option and visit multiple theme parks in one day, you can simply show your parking receipt to a Cast Member at your next theme park.
I hope that's helpful, Michael!
Have a great trip!
Mike
