We have park-hopper tickets and have made reservations for the first park we plan to enter on each day. Do we also need to make reservations at the other park we hope to “hop” to on those days or will a reservation at one park suffice for entry into both?

Hi there, Allison. Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for stopping by with your great question for us.

Parkhopping is a great way to experience both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park on the same day. With the two parks separated by just the Esplanade, it is easy to parkhop throughout the day!

I’m delighted that you’ve already made your theme park reservations, with the starting park already set. At 1 PM, you can “hop” across the Esplanade to experience the other park. You don’t need to have a separate reservation in order to park hop. As long as the parks haven’t reached full capacity, you can hop back and forth as many times as you like the rest of the day!

If you have more trip-planning questions, please feel free to swing by planDisney again. We’re all EARs!

    See ya real soon,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
