Can you get in the park without a ticket if you are not allowed to ride any rides?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Christy!

Thank you for stopping by with an excellent question. Nothing makes us happier than helping fellow Guests plan a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

All Guests ages 3 and up are required to have valid theme park tickets to enter a theme park. Although some visitors may not have the chance to experience particular attractions due to several reasons (height requirements, health issues, personal preferences), there are still several experiences Guests of all ages can enjoy at all four theme parks.

My mother is a classic example of a Guest who is not too keen on riding attractions that involve movement, especially thrill rides. However, she loves enjoying the entertainment at the theme parks, like parades, shows and fireworks, live entertainment, and character experiences. Several attractions are included with theme park admission, and I always like to emphasize to friends and family that the theme parks offer so much more besides the classic attractions you can ride.

I love enjoying my favorite attractions, but the magic of Disney can be found throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. It is impossible not to marvel at Happily Ever After fireworks and celebrate the spirit of Disney with Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom Park. At EPCOT, for example, my favorite thing is exploring the country pavilions in the World Showcase and interacting with Cast Members from those countries. I never miss Festival of the Lion King at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Please note that attractions and entertainment are subject to change without notice.

planDisney tip: Remember that in addition to valid theme park tickets, Guests are currently required to have Theme Park Reservations, so check Theme Park Reservation Availability to plan accordingly, especially if you are visiting in 2023.

It was a pleasure answering your question, Christy. I hope this helps you while planning and that you have a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

    Best Disney wishes,
