I am in the park today and the Lighing lane says “not eligible” why is that?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Marcus, and welcome to planDisney. I'm envious that you're soaking up the Walt Disney World Resort magic today while I'm scraping frost from my windshield! Let's look at why you might be getting a not-so-magical message regarding Disney Genie+ service.

If you purchased Disney Genie+ service for a theme park where you have valid admission, you can book your first attraction at 7:00 AM. You should be able to book your second attraction two hours after the listed park opening or as soon as you've scanned in for that first attraction.

If you hold a Lightning Lane entry for an attraction, you might see the "Not Eligible" message. A quick way to know when you can book your next attraction is to tap on the "Rides, Shows & Lightning Lane Entry" tile on the Welcome screen in the mobile app. Near the top of the Tip Board, you should see the exact time when you can choose another attraction for Lightning Lane entry.

A few attractions have two Lightning Lane entry scan points, so you can only book your next attraction after scanning at both points. Space Mountain, for example, often has a second scanning location.

If you feel you're getting the ineligible message in error, I suggest you stop by any Guest Relations location inside the theme park. Look for the typically blue umbrellas, and a helpful Cast Member can check to see what your issue might be.

Marcus, I hope your day goes smoothly from this point on. And I hope it warms up where I am! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
