I have park tickets and reservations for May 14 at the Magic Kingdom. Am I able to add Genie+ now, or do I have to wait until May 14?

Hey there, Rosemary, and welcome to planDisney! You’re only a few weeks out from your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation. Are you already saving space for your Disney Snacks? I hope so, Disney Dining is an attraction all on its own!

Rosemary, if you have multi-day Theme Park Tickets you should be able to add the Genie+ Service to your tickets now. Unfortunately, single-day Theme Park Tickets are not eligible to upgrade with the Genie+ Service before your arrival. But Hakuna Matata - it means no worries! You can add the Genie+ Service to your single-day Theme Park Ticket on the morning of your visit. Since your park privileges begin the morning of your visit, you can add the service any time after 12:01 a.m. I highly recommend adding the service as early as possible to give you a cushion in case you run into any technical difficulties. You want to make sure that your Genie+ purchase has successfully been processed so you’ll be ready to make your first Genie+ Lightning Lane entrance right at 7 a.m. As they say, the early bird gets the worm. But they also say that good things come to those who wait. So is a worm not a good thing? Welcome to my thoughts.

If you haven’t already, I suggest downloading the My Disney Experience mobile app to your mobile device. This app will give you a command central for your Walt Disney World vacation right in the palm of your hand. In addition, you will be able to purchase the Genie+ Service and reserve your Genie+ Lightning Lane entrances right from the mobile app. It’s a lot like rubbing an ancient lamp!

I hope this helps, Rosemary! Your Walt Disney World vacation is calling!

    Until Next Time,
