Do I have to have park tickets in My Phone’s wallet to get into the park? Can I use the ticket in my Disney Experience App? I have been trying for hours to get the ticket to transfer into my wallet and can’t. I spent an hour with apple customer service.

Welcome to planDisney Greg! Thanks so much for reaching out with your question. It sounds like you're putting in a lot of effort to get everything ready for your upcoming Walt Disney World adventure! With all the ways Disney technology can enhance your experience, especially when using your iPhone, I’m happy to help make things a bit smoother so you can focus on the fun.

You do not need to have your park tickets in your phone’s wallet to get into the Disney World parks. You can absolutely use the My Disney Experience app to access your tickets and enter the parks.

Within the app, your tickets will appear under "Tickets and Passes." At the park entrance or when using Lightning Lane, you can simply open the app, select the appropriate ticket, and scan the barcode at the entry point. This method works perfectly fine, although it can be a bit slower than using a tap style method like Apple Wallet or a MagicBand+.

If you're trying to use Apple Wallet, Disney does offer a feature called Disney MagicMobile. This allows you to add your ticket to your Apple Wallet and tap your iPhone or Apple Watch at park entrances, similar to how a MagicBand works. To set it up, you would go to the MagicMobile section in the My Disney Experience app, select your pass, and then add it to Apple Wallet.

If you’ve been trying for hours and even spent time with Apple support, it's possible that a few issues might be preventing the MagicMobile pass from adding. You must have a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID set up on your device. Your Disney account and ticket must also be properly linked and reflect the same name. Sometimes even small differences, like a missing middle initial or nickname, can cause issues. Also, both your iOS software and the Disney app should be fully up to date.

That said, you do not need MagicMobile or Apple Wallet to get into the park. The My Disney Experience app alone is fully functional for ticket scanning. If you want a faster scanning option, you can also stop by Guest Relations or a ticket window to get a physical ticket card.

Greg, I truly hope this information brings you some peace of mind as you get ready for your special trip to Walt Disney World. Thank you so much for trusting planDisney to help you along the way. Wishing you and your loved ones a magical and unforgettable experience!
