Hi Moms! Do park tickets no longer expire within 14 days of first use? I’ve tried adding tickets but it says they have to be used within a shorter time frame. Wanted to save one park day for after cruise. I’m confused. Please help. Thx!

Hi Sonia! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you’re in for a magical trip — Theme Park days with a Disney Cruise in the middle — what a dream come true!

Regarding your tickets and their expiration date, the short answer is “it depends.” Beginning October 16, 2018, Walt Disney World Resort introduced new date-based tickets and pricing. Most tickets will now have expiration dates as clearly listed on this Ticket FAQ page

The exception to this rule would be the Flexible Date ticket which allows you to use your park tickets on any dates prior to December 31 of the year in which you purchase them. But do not worry because I just spoke to a cast member in Reservations and Tickets who told me that your existing tickets may be able to be upgraded to Flexible Date tickets so you can enjoy park days after your Cruise! Simply give them a call and explain your travel plans and dilemma, and I’m sure they’d be happy to help!

Sonia, I’m sure you’re just thrilled to be going on an incredible “land and sea” adventure! Feel free to come back anytime we can help streamline your planning, and we hope to SEA ya real soon!
