Do my park tickets need to be paid in full before I can reserve a park at Disneyworld?

    Hi Elizabeth,

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for sending us your question!  I am happy to see you are planning on visiting Walt Disney World Resort, I am sure you will have a magical time!

In order to secure your Theme Park Reservations using Disney Park Pass System, Theme Park Tickets do need to be paid in full if you have only purchased Theme Park Tickets.  With that being said, if you are booking a Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package which includes a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel stay as well as Theme Park Tickets, a deposit is required to book the reservation and you will be able to make your Theme Park Tickets as soon as the reservation is linked in My Disney Experience.  With a vacation package, guests are able to make payments toward the final balance at their convenience through My Disney Experience, it does not need to be paid in full at the time of booking.

While you are planning your visit to Walt Disney World I recommend checking out planDisney and the Panel Extras.  There are some great tips for choosing the right Resort Hotel for your stay and even packing tips!  The Disney Parks Blog is also a great resource for the most updated information regarding all things Disney!

I hope you have a wonderful time at Walt Disney World Resort, Elizabeth.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help.
