Cathleen from NH Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hello, I have park tickets for April that are 4 day park hooper passes. I know reservations are not required with these types of tickets but am I still able to make the park reservations for certain parks on certain days and if so how?

Hey Howdy Hey Cathleen and welcome to planDisney!

I bet you are getting super excited about your trip to the Walt Disney World Resort coming up in just a few weeks! Thank you for stopping by with your question about Theme Park Reservations on your upcoming trip. I will be happy to provide you with some more information on the recent changes to the policy.

You are correct Cathleen that Disney recently updated the policy on Theme Park Reservations in which date-based tickets no longer need reservations to enter the parks. These are the tickets that are available for purchase online through the Disney site and are the way most people will enter the parks. Considering that this requirement has since been eliminated, I am sorry to say that you are no longer able to make reservations even if you did want to.

If you are concerned about being admitted to the theme park that you are interested in, let's talk about how to ensure you can enter the parks you want. The biggest recommendation I would have for you is to get to the park early. Theme park attendance typically peaks around mid to late morning. As long as you get to the parks early, you should not have much of an issue entering the parks.

The time of year you will be going to the parks is the other thing you can take comfort in chances of attendance. Although it is possible for the park capacity to be met and further attendance would be closed, this would be unlikely to take place during springtime. Because schools are on spring break, you may see higher crowd levels, but also because schools do not take spring breaks at the same time, usually crowds are not enough to trigger capacity limitations. Capacity limitation numbers are much more common to see around Christmas and New Year's. If you are concerned about capacity limitations and availability, I would highly encourage you to get to the parks early!

I hope you have a Magical time on your upcoming trip. Please feel free to stop back if you have any further questions, we are always happy to help!
