I have park ticket with Genie+ for our arrival day, we will get to resort to check in early afternoon. Will I be able to get lightening lane reservations that morning at 7 (since staying at WDW resort) or have to wait until we are checked in?

    Hi There, Cathy!

Congrats on booking your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Isn’t it the best feeling knowing you have something so incredible to look forward to? You are in for such a treat, Cathy! Speaking of treats, while festival dates have not yet been released, your visit will most likely line up with the 2022 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival! This festival is one of my absolute favorite events at Walt Disney World, so I am just so excited for you! The Global Marketplaces throughout EPCOT offer delicious cuisine from all over the world, and there are sure to be some items you have never tried before. You’ll feel as though you have been transported to far-off countries to experience something new and exciting! Be sure to keep an eye on Disney Parks Blogs for updates on the festival before heading out for your trip.

Disney Genie+ is a fantastic tool that will give you access to shorter wait times on more than 40 attractions through the Lightening Lane entrance, among other super helpful features. Genie+ helps you make the most of your vacation by allowing you to enjoy more of the magic with less stress. So, I am pleased to share that you can absolutely make your Disney Genie+ selections starting at 7:00 a.m. on the date of your check-in, even if you haven’t arrived at your hotel yet! How great is that?

Now, I always recommend logging in a few minutes early to ensure you are ready to go when the clock strikes 7:00 a.m., Mickey Standard Time. In fact, I like to set an alarm on my phone for seven on the dot, so I know to get started right away.

When it comes to your arrival date, you might also want to utilize the awesome Direct-To-Room Service available to you as a Disney Resorts Collection hotel Guest. Direct-To-Room service makes check-in a breeze, allowing you to skip the front desk line altogether by checking in via your My Disney Experience app! You'll just need to log into your account, open up the menu by clicking the horizontal lines on the bottom right corner, and select "Resort Hotel." From there, follow the prompts to complete your online check-in, and when your room is ready, you will get a notification on your phone with your room number and can head straight up whenever you are ready! You can even use your My Disney Experience app or MagicBand to open your door. Pretty magical, right, Cathy?

I hope my tips will be helpful to you! If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to visit us again!

    Happy Planning!
