Do you have to use a park ticket to attend MVMCP?

Hey there Lana! Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting with the Disney Parks Moms Panel again. We're excited to help you plan your upcoming Disney vacation.

Guests who attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party have been granted access into the Magic Kingdom as early as 4pm on the day of their party within the past several years. We're keeping our fingers crossed and hoping this will happen again this year. If the 4pm time is allowed this you, you won't have to have a regular theme park ticket to enter, as your Christmas party ticket will do. A regular theme park ticket will only be required if you plan to enter the park before 4pm on the day of the party or if you wish to have FastPass+ selections between 4pm-6pm before the party begins.

During Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, the FastPass+ service is not available. Crowds are typically low during these special events, so FastPass+ isn't needed anyway. The average wait time during the Christmas party for popular attractions such as Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is usually around an hour.

So, Lana, remember that you'll only need a theme park ticket if you plan to visit the Magic Kingdom during regular park hours between opening and 6pm and if you want to secure any FastPass+ attractions.

Have a magical holiday time at Walt Disney World. If you have more holiday questions, pleases top stop by and visit with us again soon.
