Where do you park when staying a night pre-cruise at a Disney World resort and taking DCL transportation to the cruise port? Can we leave our car at our resort during the cruise? We will be taking DCL transportation back to the resort after the cruise

    Hi there, Deborah!

Thanks for sending another question to planDisney. I love that you're planning to visit Walt Disney World before your Disney Cruise! My family did the same thing a couple of years ago, and being able to relax on the cruise after experiencing all of the fun at the theme parks was the best of both worlds!

From what I’ve experienced, overnight parking at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel is limited to registered Guests for the length of their stay. You’re absolutely welcome to park there while you’re checked in, but once you head out for your cruise, you’ll likely need to move your car elsewhere. I know that is disappointing!

My friend who drives to Walt Disney World before her cruises also drives to Port Canaveral. There’s usually plenty of parking nearby, and since you’re already a Florida local, you know the drive is pretty easy. Plus, it’s nice to hop right into your own car the moment you disembark! You could also look into weekly parking options near Walt Disney World or ask a hotel Cast Member for ideas, though I don’t personally have any to recommend.

Don't forget to complete your Online Check-In ahead of time to help expedite the boarding process at the port. This is also where you can request a specific Port Arrival Time. I always try to board the ship as early as possible because I'm eager to start my cruise! For the Online Check-In, make sure to have all of your documents ready, including passports, photos, and emergency contact information.

Deborah, have a wonderful time on your Disney Cruise! Please stop by planDisney again if you have additional questions.

    Happy sailing!
    Jen
