What are the park rules for coolers?

Hello Melissa, thanks for asking your question here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I love the fact that Disney allows coolers inside of the theme parks.  It's great for people with food allergies or people who are looking to save some money, like my family.  The cooler you bring in needs to be a soft sided cooler with dimensions no larger than 24"x15"x18".  Keep in mind no outside alcoholic beverages are permitted inside of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks and no glass containers either.  Other than that you are able to bring in any snacks or beverages you would like.  We normally pack soda and juice boxes to drink throughout the day.  That is my biggest money saving tip I share with people!

Another tip, you can get free ice or ice water at any Quick Service dining location throughout Walt Disney World.  Simply head to the counter and ask, you will be given a large cup with ice/water and a lid.  We do this a lot when we pack beverages in our cooler and it works out really well.  It also saves us some room in our cooler because we don't pack bottled water anymore.

Have a great vacation Melissa.  If I can answer another question you might have about your upcoming vacation, please let me know.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
