Do I have to make park reservations for tickets for each day?

Greetings, Leanne, and welcome to planDisney! With a theme park ticket, you are halfway to fun and memorable adventures at the Happiest Place on Earth. I'm happy to provide some information to help prepare you for a magical time at the Disneyland Resort!

Leanne, to enter Disneyland or California Adventure, each Guest ages three and older will need both a valid ticket and a park reservation. Think of it like this: the ticket is your vehicle, and the reservation is the key that gets it moving – both are required to move forward. And yes, you will need a reservation for each day you want to enter a theme park.

That said, I have good news for you, Leanne: If you purchase your ticket through the Disneyland website or mobile app, you’ll select your park reservation as part of the process. By the time your purchase is complete, your ticket and reservation will be linked and ready to go. If your plans change, Hakuna Matata! It’s easy to modify or cancel your park reservations as long as your tickets are linked to your Disney account.

If you have park tickets but haven't made a reservation, or if you want to change the date of an existing reservation, it is easy to do! If you are on the website, visit the Theme Park Tickets and Reservations page to make any adjustments. Or, on the app, tap the plus (+) icon at the center of the bottom navigation bar and tap "Make a Park Reservation".

As a note, after-hours events are ticketed separately and are therefore a little different – they don't require a theme park reservation. You'd simply use your ticket to enter the theme park hosting the event at or after a specified time. Speaking of after-hours events, Oogie Boogie Bash is coming up soon – if you want to get in the Halloween spirit, collect a lot of treats, delight in special entertainment, and more, then this event is for you!

I love the festive atmosphere at the Disneyland Resort right now. It's decorated in vibrant colors, and feels like one big celebration – it's all part of the 70th Anniversary. I hope you can visit soon to experience it yourself. Picture dazzling entertainment, tasty food, exclusive merchandise, and so much more!

Leanne, if you have any other questions about visiting the Disneyland Resort, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!

    Wishing you magic,
