Greetings, Kristen!
Welcome to planDisney! The
Park Hopper Option is such a great choice. I love the flexibility of visiting multiple parks in a day, especially if you have a shorter visit planned and want to see a little bit of everything. You can start your morning off with a safari in Disney's Animal Kingdom and close out the evening with great food and Harmonious over at EPCOT. You can even stop at Disney's Hollywood Studios for a ride on Slinky Dog Dash in-between. Let's talk about how Park Hopping works with Park Pass reservations, so you can get back to planning the best trip ever!
Once you have confirmed your travel dates and purchased your Walt Disney World Resort vacation package or tickets, it's time to make those
Park Pass reservations. Pro Tip: Check the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar before finalizing your plans to make sure that your favorite theme park has availability. Make your Park Pass reservation for the park that you would like to be your first stop on each day of your visit. So, if you want to start your first day at Magic Kingdom Park make a Park Pass reservation for this location. Be sure to make a reservation for each day you plan on spending in the parks! Okay, now that you have your first park of the day picked, here are all the details you need to know about enjoying the Park Hopper Option.
You will not need a Park Pass reservation for any additional park you wish to visit during the day. But there are a few important notes to keep in mind!
- You cannot enter your next park until 2 PM or later ET.
- You must visit the theme park that you have a Park Pass reservation for before entering your next park. If you get a late start to your day and are heading to the parks mid-afternoon, you will still have to enter the original park before hopping to the next, even if it is after 2 PM.
- Park Hopping is subject to availability. If a theme park reaches capacity (this is rare, but can happen), you will receive a push notification through My Disney Experience to your mobile device that the park is no longer available for Park Hopping. Should the availability to hop become available again, you will also receive a notification.
And speaking of My Disney Experience, don't forget to download the mobile app before you arrive! This is a great tool for checking park hours on the go, including Park Hopping hours! You can also create
Mobile Food and Beverage orders, make dining reservations, and even use the
Disney MagicMobile Service to access your theme park tickets with a tap of your phone.
I hope that your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
We'll see ya real soon!
