Hello, Kaye, and welcome to planDisney.
Park pass reservations are such an important part of a Walt Disney World vacation right now so I'm glad you've stopped by to chat about it.
Kaye, park pass reservations are directly linked to your
Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets. If you have a 5 day theme park ticket, then you are able to hold 5 park pass reservations. If you have a three day ticket, you are able to hold 3 park pass reservations. If you have multiple Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets, you are able to have the total number of days you have tickets for in park pass reservations. Park pass reservations and tickets go hand-in-hand. With that being said, there are a few exceptions. If you are a
Walt Disney World Annual Passholder, you are able to hold between 3 and 5 park pass reservations at a time without a Walt Disney World Resort stay linked to your MyDisneyExperience account. If you have a resort stay linked, as an annual passholder, you are able to book park pass reservations for the length of your stay.
If you have
park hopper theme park tickets where you are able to visit multiple Walt Disney World Theme Parks in one day, it works the same way. You will need to make a park pass reservation for the first theme park you'd like to visit each day. After that, the system does not let you hold any more park pass reservations for that day.
Here's how park hopping is currently working:
- Guests wishing to park hop must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option
- Guests wishing to park hop must have park pass reservations for the initial theme park they'd like to visit each day. It is not possible to make additional park pass reservations for the same day when park hopping
- On the day of, Guests need to scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation before continuing on to other theme parks later in the day. This sort of "activates" the park hopper feature each day
- Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evening.
I hope this helps, Kaye, if you have more specific questions about the park pass reservation system or anything else please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help. Have fun!
