Can I make park reservations for my first park and my park hopper park? I would like to have advance dining reservations for dinner at the second park.

Hello there, Gina. I'm so glad you've stopped to ask your question here at planDisney. I see that you are vacationing later this year in November. It's such a fun and festive time to visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. You are going to have so much fun!

Gina, with your park hopper ticket there is not a way to secure more than one park pass reservation per day. Park hopping looks a little bit different than it did before. Here's how it's currently working:
    • Guests wishing to park hop must have standard theme park admission with the park hopper option
    • Guests wishing to park hop must secure park pass reservations for an initial theme park each day
    • On the day of, Guests must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation prior to park hopping. This sort of "activates" the park hopper pass each day
    • There is no need to secure multiple park pass reservations each day for park hopping - just the initial one each day
    • Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evenings
    • To make park hopping a little bit easier at this time complimentary park-to-park bus transportation is currently being provided
Because there is no way to secure multiple park pass reservations for one day, it is recommended to only make advanced dining reservations in the theme park with the park pass reservation or at Disney Springs where no park pass reservations are required. However, I will say I have never been turned away at the gate for park hopping, not even on completely sold-out days. There is always the risk of being turned away at the gate but I've yet to see that happen to anyone that is park hopping throughout the day. It's risky especially depending on your party size because the penalty fee for not showing up to a dinner reservation is $10.00 per person but I think I'd go ahead and take the risk. You are able to make dining reservations at any theme park whether or not you have a park pass reservation. I've actually done this many times since park hopping has returned to us at the start of this year and have had no trouble. But if you don't want to chance it, I suggest aligning your park days and your reservations up together.

Gina, I hope this helps! If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to come back and ask me. I'm here to help!

    Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
